About the role
SynchrotronAI® builds governed AI agents that do real work: Tariff Agent, Capital Agent, ScamFreeLife, and AI Off Now™, plus custom agents built for a customer’s own workflow.
Forward deployed engineers work directly with customers. You will sit with the people who own a workflow, learn how their documents, systems, and approvals really work, and build what it takes to put our agents into production. Then you will bring what you learned back into the product.
What you will do
- Embed with customers to map their workflows, data, and systems, and scope the work.
- Write statements of work and project plans for prototypes and production deployments.
- Build integrations, data pipelines, and agent workflows, coding side by side with customer teams.
- Configure and extend Tariff Agent, Capital Agent, and AI Off Now™ for each deployment.
- Prototype quickly for pilots, demos, and government programs such as SBIR.
- Own deployments from first prototype to stable production, including monitoring and handoff.
- Turn what works into reusable tools and playbooks, and bring field feedback to the founders.
- Travel to customer sites when a deployment calls for it.
What you bring
- Four or more years of professional full-stack engineering, not counting internships.
- Strong TypeScript and Python, and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Experience building and deploying production systems with large language models.
- Experience deploying to the cloud, ideally AWS with infrastructure as code.
- Comfort working directly with customers: you can run a working session, ask the right questions, and explain tradeoffs in plain language.
Nice to have
- Experience as a founder or early engineer who built a product from scratch.
- A background in security-sensitive or regulated environments.
- Experience with government customers, or an active security clearance.
- Prior forward deployed, solutions engineering, or technical consulting work.
