Scope
This policy covers ScamFreeLife subscriptions for individuals, families, small businesses, and concierge customers. It is part of the Terms of Use. Tariff Agent, Capital Agent, professional services, and managed services are sold under a signed order or agreement, and the payment, renewal, and termination terms in that agreement apply instead.
Plans and billing
ScamFreeLife is offered as an Individual, Family, Small Business, or Concierge plan, billed monthly or annually. Current prices are listed on the ScamFreeLife page. Prices are in US dollars, and applicable taxes may be added at checkout.
You can buy a subscription in one of these ways, and each subscription is billed through only one of them:
- Directly from SynchrotronAI on the web, with payment processed by Stripe.
- Through the Apple App Store in the ScamFreeLife iPhone app.
- Through Google Play in the ScamFreeLife Android app.
- Through AWS Marketplace or Microsoft Marketplace.
Prices in the Apple App Store and Google Play are set in each store and may differ from prices on our website.
Automatic renewal
Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. A monthly plan is charged each month, and an annual plan is charged once per year, at the price shown when you subscribed (plus applicable taxes) unless we have told you about a price change as described below. Each charge is made at the start of the billing period it covers, to the payment method you used. The checkout page, store, or marketplace you buy through shows the price, billing period, and renewal terms before you confirm a purchase. We do not currently offer free trials on the web.
How to cancel
You can cancel at any time, online, without contacting us.
- Direct subscriptions: sign in to ScamFreeLife and choose Manage subscription to open the secure Stripe billing portal, then cancel your plan. You can also ask Support to cancel for you.
- Apple App Store: in the ScamFreeLife iPhone app, choose Manage subscription, or manage your subscriptions in your Apple account settings.
- Google Play: manage the subscription from your Google Play subscriptions page. The ScamFreeLife Android app links to it.
- AWS Marketplace: manage the subscription from the subscriptions page of your AWS console.
- Microsoft Marketplace: manage the subscription from the Microsoft 365 admin center or Azure portal where you bought it.
Deleting your ScamFreeLife account does not cancel a subscription bought through the Apple App Store, Google Play, AWS Marketplace, or Microsoft Marketplace. Cancel it with the store or marketplace as well.
When cancellation takes effect
When you cancel a direct subscription, it stops renewing and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Canceling does not by itself refund the current period. Apple, Google, AWS, and Microsoft apply their own rules for when a canceled subscription ends.
30-day money-back guarantee
If you are a new ScamFreeLife customer and you subscribe directly on our website, you can get a full refund of your first payment if you ask for it within 30 days after that payment. The guarantee:
- covers every plan, billed monthly or annually;
- applies once per customer, to the first ScamFreeLife subscription on your account, and not to renewals, later subscriptions, or plan changes; and
- does not apply to purchases through the Apple App Store, Google Play, AWS Marketplace, or Microsoft Marketplace, which are refunded under those stores' and marketplaces' policies as described below.
To ask for a refund, contact Support within the 30 days with the email address you use to sign in, the plan, and the date of the charge. When we approve your request, we will cancel the subscription, end your access, and refund the payment to your original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank or card issuer may take longer to show the credit.
Refunds after the guarantee period
After the 30-day guarantee period, and for renewals, payments are non-refundable and we do not give refunds or credits for partial billing periods, including unused months of an annual plan, except where the law requires a refund or where these terms say otherwise. For example, if we end your subscription for reasons other than your breach of the Terms of Use, we will refund the unused part of the current billing period.
EU and UK consumers
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom, you can withdraw from a direct subscription within 14 days after you subscribe, as described in the Terms of Use. If you withdraw and the 30-day guarantee does not apply, we will refund what you paid minus an amount proportionate to the service you used before you withdrew, within 14 days. Your statutory rights if the service is faulty or not as described are not affected by this policy.
App Store, Google Play, and marketplace purchases
Refunds for purchases made through a store or marketplace are handled by that store or marketplace under its own policies:
- Apple App Store: Apple decides refund requests, and we cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases. You can start a request from the ScamFreeLife iPhone app or at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Google Play: Google handles refund requests under its Google Play refund policies. The ScamFreeLife Android app links to Google Play's refund request page.
- AWS Marketplace and Microsoft Marketplace: refunds are handled under the refund terms of the marketplace listing or private offer you bought through and the marketplace's own policies. Contact Support and we will work with the marketplace on your request.
Effect of a refund
If a payment is fully refunded, or a store or marketplace revokes the purchase, the subscription may end and protected features may stop working.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, access may continue for a grace period of up to 7 days while the payment is retried. If the payment is not completed, protected features are suspended until the subscription is paid or canceled.
Price changes
If we change the price of your direct subscription, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies. The new price applies from your first renewal after that notice period, and you can cancel before then if you do not want to continue. For store and marketplace purchases, the store or marketplace also notifies you and may ask for your consent under its own rules.
